I believe I saw Sinisterly get mentioned on either another forum or a Discord server. I decided to check it out, and now here I am.

Blissful that you decided to stick around. You will have a great time here, as well as learn many incipient things!

There are many search results returned with keywords used In social engineering parlance.

Welcome aboard.

RE: How did you guys find Sinister? - Equinox - 09-11-2021

8 years and 2 months ago, 12 year old Equinox joined a forum called CodeCommunity.

I was like the 16th or 17th member to join that forum. Shortly thereafter, DiscussionZone bought our CodeCommunity and merged us in.

I want to say like 3 or 4 months later, DZ was bought by Onion, and here I am today.

It’s kind of funny, you can definitely see how I’ve grown over the years on this very forum. I was very much the want-to-be hackerman like most people here, and had next to no experience doing any actual programming. I would toy with JS and such, but that’s just toying, and even then I knew nothing. I was a huge dumbass. Or rather I just didn’t know.

And now I have certifications in CS and two languages from US accredited organizations, I worked as a developer for almost 3 years.

And I don’t use a fucking bit of the experience I got over the years in my job now. Never did ever become the hackerman, lost interest in security a long time ago. So yeah, I’d say this forum was a very large part of my growing up.

You've just made me realize my age.

The first board (more so a chat server) was around 1988. I don't recall It by name - too many years have passed.

With SL being around for so long, it's crazy to see how many people have literally grown up in the time it's been online. I somewhat count myself among those people. I was relatively young when I found SL too.
