RE: Is my CPU going to explode? - skrtja - 08-08-2018 That sure isn't normal. Even my Radeon 7979 wasn't that hot when I was mining crypto. RE: Is my CPU going to explode? - mothered - 08-08-2018 It should not be hitting that, particularly on a consistent basis. What temp Is It sitting on Idle? However, certain games spike the temp that high. I am probably going to buy a high-end cooling pad. I want this laptop to be semi-obnoxious anyway lmao. Very much normal to be sitting on 30 degrees on Idle. Mine Is the same (without cooling fans nor the Cool Master active). Spoiler:![]() Good decision to purchase a cooling pad. Running at 100 degrees Is not healthy. I just booted up a game with no distance render mechanic and I hit 90 very fast. Also my fan speeds are around 1.5k RPM. Which is nice in my opinion. When I get a nice pad this will be different. I actually do a lot of video editing.(08-08-2018, 07:34 AM)M00N66 Wrote:(08-08-2018, 04:03 AM)mothered Wrote: It should not be hitting that, particularly on a consistent basis. RE: Is my CPU going to explode? - DragonicRek - 08-08-2018 What is the CPU Cooler? I'm assuming it's a desktop pc RE: Is my CPU going to explode? - Suiziide - 08-08-2018 (08-08-2018, 08:00 PM)DragonicRek Wrote: What is the CPU Cooler? It's a dell laptop, he wrote that earlier in the thread

I've just applied maximum cooling on mine (no Cool Master), and It's running at 4.7 RPM. Spoiler:![]() If I slot In the Cool Master cooling fan, It'll probably hit over 5.5k. The charger gives this thing a massive performance boost. Like it is so noticeable. In fact a similar issue regarding this. My laptop is laggy at times even with basic tasks until the charger is plugged in. Is there any way to balance this? Power management in the control panel is not doing anything. It almost seems like the charger gives the hardware it's proper power input.
