RE: How to remove a Virus. - Nil - 07-09-2013 Basically, I'm pretty sure I just include firefox.exe into the forced programs in Sandboxie, which will make firefox sandboxed. I don't know if it has any other effects besides whatever I download going into the sandbox. Hopefully not. This is essentially the same thing, it opens up Firefox sandboxed. So I assume if I download a file from Firefox, the file will stay in the Sandbox where I can test its contents and not be able to venture out of it? If anyone can confirm, that'd be great. RE: How to remove a Virus. - 3SidedSquare - 07-10-2013 It would be a pretty poor virtual machine if things downloaded to it were able to get outside ![]() Anything downloaded with sandbox will need to be executed in sandbox(right click -> run sandboxed). If you use firefox's "run automatically" feature, it'll automatically run it in sandbox. RE: How to remove a Virus. - Nil - 07-10-2013 Yeah, you're right. I was more just wondering if downloading something in a sandboxed web browser only downloads into the sandbox, and not anywhere else. I guess I shouldn't have said venture out of the box.
