Start by installing Arch Linux or FreeBSD, get used to BASH, learn C, and AMD64 NASM or ARM, then make a Linux distro from scratch.

That assumes they actually read it. This post has a sticky in both the lounge and in SE, so people should be reading it, but looks like view counts are low. I've been linking this post everywhere I see a shitty SE thread.

As of this reply, only 400 views, vs my intro to cpu design shot up to 5,000 in a matter of weeks. People are significantly less motivated to improving themselves over getting free shit or knowledge.

Ring-a-ding-ding. Been saying this for years now and it's no wonder that people remain to be closed-minded when being open-minded is obviously more thorough.

To be fair, you try to type in the best English you can. You have also improved a lot. Some people choose to type poorly because they are lazy, and not because they don't know English Wink

^ this. It's pretty easy to tell people who don't know English (and are trying) and people who talk like a 3 year old apart.

Totally agreed. I'm willing to work with people where they put in the effort.
