RE: Post Requirements - Inori - 12-30-2017 Sounds like a good idea to me. In addition to SE and Markets, NSFW and some of the sharing subforums (potential vector for spreading malware) might be good candidates. I really like where this is going, but it would be difficult to automate. RE: Post Requirements - Oni - 12-30-2017 (12-30-2017, 03:20 AM)Valkyrie Wrote: Sounds like a good idea to me. Too difficult to automate and staff doesn't need an extra job. It's not a bad idea otherwise. It contains repetitive posts, of which a lot are LQ, therefore filtering It's contents will certainly Improve It. In terms of a minimum post requirement, the nature of the forum (section) should be prioritized. For example, as you've suggested with the Market section, given the sensitivity of the forums (namely the Regular Sales, Premium Sales, Trader's Area and Buyer's Area), It's best to deal with members who've established a rapport with the community prior to posting. As such, a post requirement will help achieve just that. RE: Post Requirements - Sikom - 12-30-2017 (12-30-2017, 03:20 AM)Valkyrie Wrote: Sounds like a good idea to me. If more than X amount of votes let it pass as HQ? RE: Post Requirements - zorrophreak - 12-30-2017 Post requirements in these sections (especially the Social Engineering section...) are definitely a good idea. There is so much spam in the SE subforum and the market section, its a pain the amount of people who cause problems there even in the regular non-upgraded market section. While I get you may be well known as a seller on another site, its still a good idea to build a reputation on the new site before setting up shop. 11 - Yes 0 - No Definitely think you should do it. Could also make access to it require a certain amount of rep. Makes it tangentially important and it's not like a lot of high-sitting members are flaunting zeros or negatives. Incentivizes HQ posting and investment to get those points without the automation of said posts. The star rating system already exists, it's just mostly ignored and doesn't have any significance. You could have it like-based, or thread-rating based, since we already have both. However, both of those systems aren't really good though, since there's not much of a standard for 'like' (compare my number of given likes to phy's), and nobody seems to rate threads (afaik). I think anything where users are expected to act more collected and civil should have some limit, but I don't really agree with huge ones. Something like Code: NSFW - 5 posts (to prevent porn ad posts)
Giveaways - 50 posts (many users end up padding their post counts here anyways....generally speaking, people won't have anything to give away until they've been around a bit)
SE - 15 posts
Market (sell) - 30 posts
Market (buy) - 15 posts
Groups - 25 posts |
