Mainly it would be used for high end gaming, I mod the hell out of most of my games and run quite a few VM's in the background, but it has other uses as well

I wouldn't have to run them if I didn't need to isolate/run certain software, but it's just the way the world is.

I'd go with a Threadripper over a Ryzen 7 any day, and get an ARCTIC Liquid Freezer, those AMD CPUs need good cooling, especially for overclocking.

For gaming, I personally would choose nvidia, like a 1060, but if you plan to be doing other things than just gaming then that would actually be better, but as far as the build goes, it's good but a bit overboard

I agree with Eternal, I would def go with a Nvidia. If you want to put a little bit more go for the 1080.

After running the 1070 I think I'd probably stick with Nvidia and just change the CPU to AMD, had a terrible time with the I5 6600K (Not exactly terrible just didn't meet my expectations)

I'm currently running Intel/Nvidia, but I'm not impressed with the I5 6600K which CPU would you go for an I7 ?
