Of course, we're here to help.
In terms of SE'ing, each one Is based on It's merits. It quite difficult to provide a general method that caters for everything. Research, preparation, pretext and formulating all strategies accordingly play a major/significant role In a successful outcome. It's of utmost Importance to "research" and "prepare" your method suited to the nature of the SE. Perform a "practice run" (prior to the real SE) to Identify the terminology used, what questions are raised and how they expect to be answered and of course, the vulnerability(s) In both the entity Itself and the person(s) you've contacted.
And In the event It Initially fails, It's not a negative result. Take It as a positive, thereby you know what you should/shouldn't do the next time around- when the real SE Is performed.
