I think Mitnick was the one who did all those Phone Phreaking hacks in the 90's right?
Personally I think the guy should be put in history for his work. Yeah he runs his own firm now but he did the adult thing and applied his knowledge to something he could call his own.

Yes, Mitnick was a phreaker as well as an elite hacker.

Yes, Mitnick was a phreaker as well as an elite hacker.
Very skilled indeed. He was legendary back in the 90's but I haven't really heard much from or about him since then unless referring to the past. I'm sure his company is doing great but I wish he would've stayed more notable for longer. Prison really fucked his image up but to be fair, he did that to himself.

Him and every other "has been" celebrity. Really makes me sad. Again, he's was and probably still is an extremely talented hacker, it's just that he does so quietly. Probably was told to behave or they'd send his ass to Guantanamo.

Probably. I'm certain he is on every government agency's watch list. That or working with them now...

He certainly did.
He studied and exploited the telecommunication systems, thereby allowing him to elude the FBI for 2 years (until his arrest). A very clever Individual- Inclined In both technical and social engineering exploitation.
