RE: "No contact" rule - Bish0pQ - 06-20-2017 Since all of my exes cheated on me, I don't really mind that I'm ignoring them. I think it depends from relationship to relationship. Like if you have been friends with your ex for a long time, and it just didn't work out in a relationship, you can still be good friends. If you enjoy each others company then it's fine I guess. RE: "No contact" rule - Bish0pQ - 06-20-2017 @Inori Well not really to be honest, I'm a loyal person. If I promise my love to someone, I'll stay with them, till the end and I'd do anything to make the person happy. If they're trying their luck on someone else it's their loss. Most of them don't even hold up with the guy they left me for. Also not only the circumstances that ended the relationship matter, but also the circumstances that begin the relationship and what happened in between. For example, when you had a traumatic event together, it's possible that if you leave each other, you'll stay in contact to process the traumatic events. Maybe without even knowing it (the brain needs a way to process traumatic events and that's one of the ways it's done). RE: "No contact" rule - mothered - 06-20-2017 For me, once the relationship Is over, that's It there's no turning back. I have no Interest whatsoever to keep track of my ex-partners movements. That's the whole purpose of ending the relationship- to get on with your life and/or possibly find another. RE: "No contact" rule - DarkMuse - 06-21-2017 I think it all depends on what kind of person you are. Personally, if I'm in a relationship, I'm in it for the long run. If I'm not entirely into it, I let them know and don't look back usually for their sake or for the both of us. So if I end up breaking up with someone or they break up with me, I try and force myself to stay away. It's very difficult for me to move on from someone I loved but usually it's for a good reason. Maybe if I ever have a mutual breakup I'd stay close but if one person ends it, that's it. RE: "No contact" rule - Aeolian - 06-21-2017 Depends on the situation with the female I'd be talking too. If we didn't work as a pair, but she was a great person/friend I'd remain talking to her. Have done this many times before finding the girl I'm currently with. RE: "No contact" rule - Inori - 06-22-2017 Relevant, I've been hanging out with a former partner quite a bit recently after a year-ish of occasional conversation, long after we stopped going out. We've discovered that we have more common interests now than when we were together, so it's definitely shaping up to be a healthy, simply platonic relationship for both of us (something I've been lacking, as I don't hang out with friends outside of classes very often). I think that, especially if you end it on non-hostile terms, a good friendship is a possibility given a little time and distance. RE: "No contact" rule - drradfo - 10-01-2017 That sounds like a good rule RE: "No contact" rule - zabo - 10-01-2017 (10-01-2017, 02:20 AM)drradfo Wrote: That sounds like a good rule You're gravedigging, dawg.
