Just as a matter of Interest, why the change from MySQL? Personally, I find It very flexible and quite powerful. On topic, welcome back. I hope to see more of you around the forums. Looking at an online article it looks like Oracle requires it for certain inclusions. Depending on how he wants to implement it, it make fall under this. Not to mention, NoSQL type databases like rethinkdb are nosql labelled for a reason. rethinkdb supports realtime data reporting, also, it is no relational which means it would be more ideal for purposes such as his because of the need to store large quantities of collective data, to be pulled out via JSON or something, without having to run multiple SQL queries. This could be the absolute opposite of why, but its an idea. RE: Trying to get back - Mr.Kurd - 03-31-2017 Welcome back mate, I hope see you active again RE: Trying to get back - Inori - 03-31-2017 Hey, the last Canadian! I think there's a whole three of us now, which is still kind of pathetic Welcome back! Also, mind shedding some light (maybe a tutorial?) on noSQL? I'm looking into using couchbase or redis for a project, but I want some opinions. You've made perfect sense here, thanks for the In depth explanation. The only downside Is that you'll have to start familiarizing a whole new syntax. But for the advantages you've mentioned above, It's a small price to pay.
