Oops, did you actually swear? This Is the first time I've read your post with a swear word. Or perhaps I'm living under a rock.

On topic, @Skullmeat not only do you have patience, but with all tools on hand, It seems like you're doing a pretty good job. Cleaning the keyboard Is one thing I try to avoid. My main lappy Is putrid. The keys are covered In potato chips and candy, and a lot are not visible. I now realize that I'm not dependent on viewing the keys when typing.

I just turn my keyboard upside down and shake it. Biggrin

Made me laugh. xD

I'm sure there was plenty of food crumbs and whatnot under there. I never bothered plying the keys off, as I assumed it would be foolhardy. More so surprised the keyboard is not dead, as I spilled beer on it once. After it started shutting off I bought the full-scale Chroma (that one was Tournament edition).

I gotta clean my keyboard asap. I'll probably post a thread on disassembly of my razer keyboard.

I may have... just a little. Just imagine it in a British accent. I've been advised that swearing doesn't sound so bad in my accent xD

The worst bit of my laptop probably isn't the keys... I have this gap near the hinges between the keypad and the screen. It infuriates me. I've dropped pencils in that gap it's so damn big, yet still somehow not big enough to clean without 'q-tips,' as you call them here.

The long keys like shift and space have metal wire bars that are part of the actuation. If you aren't careful you will bend them. I was aware of them before I began, so I was extra careful when removing those keys.

Man Wha about laptops keyboard?!

Laptop keyboards are entire units. They are also rubber membrane, not the mechanical keys shown here. They cannot be cleaned, and have to be replaced entirely.

I did just that (pulled all the keys apart) on my good old Dell Inspiron 510M lappy around 12 years ago.

The clips and brackets were a nightmare to reassemble, and It was never the same since. A few keys kept coming off here and there and I ventured to say I'll never do It again. To this day, I'm true to my word.
