For you to answer Coping with depression you need to know how you're depressed. I myself have been 'diagnosed' with MDD (Major Depressive Disorder) and I've had it since Elementary School. (My ex-therapist was not good at her job, I don't think MDD causes a feeling of emotionless for 3+ years and an apathetic consciousness. She shouldn't be a therapist and she shouldn't be allowed to diagnose.)

Types of Depression For the most, it can be doing things you enjoy doing. For some of the more severe, you can force yourself to begin being able to cope by constantly hyping yourself up. Telling yourself good things about yourself.

Things I do when I'm depressed:
  • Write poetry
  • Music binge
  • Game (I usually game but it began making me more depressed)
  • Exercise
  • Cry (A good crying spell helps)
  • Watch anime/tv (Escaping helps)

Thanks, I'm probably gonna post a thread just about that stuff later on.

Also, to the people saying do things you enjoy. How can you do something you enjoy when you are apathetic and don't enjoy anything anymore? That's a VERY common thing to have when depressed, anything you enjoyed doing becomes nothing to you and it's a pain to do it.
