I think it would be more interesting to frame the question in terms of becoming a robot who is also concious. Kind of like a cyborg-human thing, except totally cyborg.
Surely it's not possible, may never be possible, but it's an interesting hypothetical. I mean, Darkmuse would save people, i'd try and take over the world (heh). At the very least, it's a plot device that's left to imagination.

In that case, given It's a robotic-type mentality, I'd have no emotions and feelings so I'd do as I please without worrying about the ramifications of my actions.

Not exactly, AI already excists. It's just not that advanced yet, but that's the whole idea of an AI. That it can do things it's not programmed to do. That it can "grow" on it's own.
