Well I was probably ten years old when I first tried it no idea what the distro was called but it was probably called freakybuttsexpandas

My windows system is still running XP so irrelevant if old tutorials in fact that's a better stepping sir. Thanks for the warm welcoming.

Compatibility-wise running XP, It's even better for you. If you were running a more superior OS, you can always setup a VM and Install Windows XP thereafter.

Well on Fedora its difficult to use VMWare because of constant kernel updates (too quick for Oracle at times). Luckily this XP is a modified version from years ago called MicroXP so its stripped down for my Pentium 4 machine with 512mb RAM
and i did some additional regedits etc and its running like a beast. It's 13 years old.

I have MicroXP which I obtained via a torrent download many years ago.
I could be mistaken, but I believe It was stripped using nLite. It's certainly extremely light on system resources.
