RE: HTML Certified - encrypted - 06-28-2016 I could never afford traditional school so I just learned on my own and never had any certificates etc to show anyone. So its just a step in the right direction for creating a resume lol Now to get 4 or 5 more! RE: HTML Certified - zorrophreak - 06-28-2016 Congrats on the certification, means you know the stuff (unless you cheated). Although W3 certifications are more of a personal boasting accomplishment as opposed to a necessary certification. RE: HTML Certified - mothered - 06-30-2016 Congrats on your certification. The more you can put on your resume, the better off you'll be In your job applications. W3schools Is an excellent source. I tend to reference that every now and then- particularly with PHP. There's so many functions In PHP, I cannot remember them all. Again, well done on your achievement. I certainly agree. I'm much the same, whereby I have no certifications nor have attended any schooling In the computational sector. Everything I've leaned Is self-taught. No middle man and no assistance whatsoever. It can be difficult at times, but the challenge Is great. You're doing the right thing with certifications- employers will consider someone like yourself who's qualified, rather than someone like me who hasn't got one piece of paper to name. What may seem unfair and somewhat hopeless at the time, Is a stepping stone In achieving the desired result. You'll be fine. Looking back at It now, I believe It was a good thing for the government to pay me (for a change), for all the hard work I generated. In your case here, If you're legitimately looking for work and the government Is paying for your living expenses, I don't see anything wrong with that. It's those who take advantage of the system that should be condemned. |
