They're just convenient. Joints smell a place up reallyyy bad, bongs can be large and annoying to carry around. I can prepack a bowl, put it in my pocket, and go somewhere. Easy.

Both are equal for me it's just more or less what I have at the time.

Sometimes I carry my pipe around but usually when with the squad we always smokin Blunts. We also like king size joint papers the Bob Marley ones work great.

We usually bring my friends bong if we wanna get stupid high fast, but if we have plenty of weed we just roll a buncha blunts and set em in rotation or smoke through the course of the day, when alone I prefer my pipe.

Joints cause you to intake more tar, but you absorb more of the active ingredients. Water pipes cause you to intake less tar, but you absorb a little bit less. There's a trade off for each. Between joints and bongs, I'm pretty neutral/objective (although I love both). If you want any sort of filtration or lungs in 5-10 years, I'd recommend a vaporizer (Cloud Evo/Volcano/Herbalizer) or at least a water pipe
