this reminds me of the time i visited craigslist and there was an entire section filled solely with multiple-page essays about how the jews are taking over america.
i am so confused by this phenomenon.

But yea, its a bit weird why people are like this, but they are. Definitely a plugin I would use for a YouTube troll video.

Wow the people hating on people of a specific religion are really screwed up. The article didn't say a lot about who developed the plugin so I'm unsure if they developers intended for this issue to occur or not. This whole situation is really screwed up.

Given a lot of users utilize social media, for those who dislike the Jewish race, rather than trying to locate them by culture they'd have the names readily-available via the plug-In. They can then simply perform a search on social media sites (or others), locate those who have an "association" with the names and abuse them directly. The Impact on an Individual In a "direct and personal attack", Is greater than one that's performed In a general manner.
On these grounds, I believe Google did the right thing.

Google definitely did the right thing and saw it for what it was: A chance to abuse Jewish people through social media. However, people who deem that as an appropriate activity to invest their time in, are not gaining anything. They lose the respect of the rest of the educated world and should be penalised for it (though I'm sure few will receive any kind of punishment or consequences).

In terms of actual criminal prosecution better to know that the hate exists than to suppress it and pretend it doesnt. But yeah Google should have pulled it.

Is it really that odd? While I've never found this to be the case wherever I've lived, I can imagine some cultures/religious life styles will promote particular attitudes and work ethics. Perhaps this is one such example where it leads them to better positions. Unless I misunderstood and you meant that it's odd to have a lot of people from a minority in power over people who are mostly not also part of that minority?

I'm playing devils advocate and suggesting that a neo-nazi or whatever would perceive the success of Jewish people as being some kind of sign of Jewish power especially since Jews as a whole don't make up a large portion of Americas population. Just a thought anyway, I'd rather not write these people off as lunatics because in someways it suggests that a "normal person" couldn't be racist.
