Trueeeeeee. My 970 eats through all triple A titles at 1080 P currently. No need for an upgrade.

Thing is, I have a VERY shitty AMD CPU. It bottlenecks hard with my GPU.
I can run Battlefield 4 on ultra and get no less than 90fps, but GOD FORBID if I get on TF2 my fps is around 50-58.

The best part is im not really into gaming lol. Video editing mostly. Im not over clocked on anything all stock settings minus the asus x99 mobo default over clock.

Hopefully the performance jumps they're talking about are real-world numbers. That's what we need. I just hope these cards are powerful enough that they can pull off 4K 60fps with ease with the newest games. I want that at least, especially since I'm considering jumping to 4K.
The cards do sound like they will do the job. Will buy if they do 4K no questions asked.

I mean, Is It anything that your SLI config won't handle? The 1070 Is certainly a superior card, but unless I benchmark It, It's difficult to say whether It'll outperform and If so, by how much.

Personally, I have a single 970 SSC and that thing can do anything and EVERYTHING I can throw at it. Not even going to bother looking at another card, this one has been serving me for such a short time, yet so well.

I don't even game.. I built this PC for video editing. But I can probably sell both 970s and only pay a little to upgrade so why not?

That's my point- the cost factor Is Immaterial.
As opposed to your current setup, of what benefit would the upgrade be? In other words, In terms of overall performance, would there be any significant difference to your current setup?

There will be a performance bump. Well, I should say I need to wait to real life benchmarks come out to decide.
