Yeah, I see this quite often. Also, why the asterisks on R***Forums? So many forums that can fill that description.

I just don't get why it bothers people so much when someone gets staff. They should be happy for them. Staff isn't administrator. It isn't like they have the power to take over the whole site or take donations, etc. Everything they do is purely moderating the forum activity, not the expenses, not the files, etc.

You cannot please everyone, though the main goal of a staff team is to please as many as possible. (Hence decisions should be made based on that.) That being said, people can complain on everything and everything will be complained about.
