RE: RF Moving Slowly - Angelic - 01-01-2016

1. Themes take a lot of time and effort to make it bug free, plus there is a lot of side things with the forum (drama, bullshit, etc) that they need to take care of.

2. Join date doesn't make a difference, Para puts in a lot of work for the forum. As for electing staff members, that will just make it into a popularity contest. Staff decide who staff are, not us.

3. Um, okay?

4. When they get around to it.

With all that said, I would like to hear about more updates and be kept in the loop on what is happening, instead of being left in the dark. I know these things are happening, but I think update threads of any kind would help the forum out a lot because we could see what is going on and not be confused and lost like this thread has clearly pointed out.

Honestly I don't think anything is happening. That's my point. Do you know that Pirate paid to have a theme made with funds from the forum and after the theme was made and done they just completely turned it down rather than getting the creator to tweak it to how we like it? That would of saved a ton of time.

Join date typically doesn't make a difference, but c'mon one month ago? You might not know this but two merges ago when Pirate just ran Alphas - two of his staff members went on a thread deletion spree and fucked things up for a little bit until Pirate had things back to normal. Staff members should be choosen based on their experience, how they act around the forum with other members, how mature they are in high stress situations, and many other factors. One month doesn't even cut it regardless of how hard he's working here.

Updates, updates, updates. They can keep us updated as long as they want but at the end of the day there's nothing but the same old RF. We've been getting updates, and we've been getting told what's going on and how close we are to whatever even on Skype. RF is slowing down and that's a fact.

I mean this thread isn't out of line by any means. I actually do agree with you on a lot of points. When I ran my forums I usually made "update" threads with even the most minor of things to create a filler basically to give me time to push the bigger updates through but I always had something DONE, key word there done. False promises are what this seems in the end after so much waiting. But it doesn't matter that much to me, I post and stay active and help out where I can because it is difficult to run a forum, just would like to see more sure.

As for Para. I've had no issues with him as staff personally so I can't say much, I think he is fine and seems to be doing a fair bit for the forum. Not sure what problems you may have had or have with him. It's not that easy to pick a staff member and most of the members that have been here a while are either not very active, rude or just a cunt.
You said you resigned, which is fine but you should still give people a chance before you bash on them. He hasn't been staff long, plus do you even know of his prior experiences?

They need BIG updates now, they have pushed little updates but like I said on my first point above. They don't push big updates between little ones which causes a nice flow for the community and keeps it going.

They told us 2month ago that it was coming out in 2-3 weeks if I remember.

Yep people think I'm obligated to upgrade them and I'm not doing it anymore. Also two members I've upgraded have been eventually banned and even gave me a big "fuck you" for no reason.

Anyways yes it was about 2 months ago if I can recall. I just can't trust what they say here now. I'm not expecting anything now.

Paradigm is an excellent addition to any team. He contains experience in plugin-development, he is professional and could most likely lead other moderators to follow his path. (In case you don't know, most of the staff members are not professional except a few.)

Okay but what about the rest of my post?

Yeah, it sucks people never knows to realize their privilege untul it's too late. Same thing with relationship. Also, if you dont mind, would you name those users? :yus:

RE: RF Moving Slowly - Mars_mybb_import13750 - 01-01-2016

I am not on the loop regarding the credit addition you have mentioned but regarding the theme, then sure. It looks close to done as I have the testers group but not sure what's taking so long, so you have a point in useless "dead-lines" you could refer to them as.

You upgrading others? I don't see how that fits here but don't even feel obligated to do that. You deserve to be able to grant others if they got banned, and that will benefit reality. As in when a user gets upgraded, they tend to stay and visit from time to time if not become an active member.

I don't know these little things just keep adding up on RF and I feel like it's slowing down a little bit here. Even though we might be getting new members and have a good advertising campaign going right now we need to keep up with everything to ensure new members and current members are excited to stay here on RF.

Don't want to complain, honestly. I just want to see if anyone else is feeling how I'm feeling lately. Any thoughts on this?

I have to agree with all of this, except the 2nd because to me staff doesn't matter on how long you've been on a forum. It matters what you do with those privileges.

1. The theme would become bug-free quicker with users reporting the bugs. Give us something like beta for maybe just Sponsors and maybe Embers

2. I honestly agree here.

3. nothing to say here.

4. This a very simple thing to implement, I mean there is a betting PLUGIN for it. I mean really. You can install it and have it ready to go in about 2 minutes. So don't try to say it takes a lot of work. If the staff can't dedicate more than 2 minutes to the forum, they don't need to run it.
