I failed, I mistaken OS X and Linux.
I heared on the same Forum on an other News Topic that Linux will be taken, I am not sure.
@Laptops, still, not for hardcore gamer playing 8 Hours a day for example.

They will most likely use a Linux distro, simply because it will make life easier for them. Also, you used the Steambox as an example, but there are alternatives, it's not like there isn't any.
In my opinion, the Steambox is different, but it doesn't really appeal to me.

Hopefully, I really hope that Valve do something that nobody has thought of before. That's the only way that they are going to get there name out there, as tons of people have never even heard of Steam!

True. And a tons of people that play Steam will buy it! $$$$ will be there for sure, but for how long?

It might just take over the industry as long as it can compete with advertising etc.
