Good luck to you. I'm also in the law enforcement/military field. You just gotta be sure to keep your record clean! Police departments are cutting down in most cities so I hope your local dept has an opening for you.

I'm still skeptical man. The pay will be shit for me to start. I may just attend college first/only.

Yeah, especially with the NG depending on what type of MOS and stuff like that you have. Most of the local Guardsmen just PT like once a month and don't really make any money.
The reason I chose the Marines over the NG or other branches is because I'm more into kicking down doors, not handing out bottles water in a disaster situation.
