I believe in the quality of the posts/threads more than the quantity.

Post count means shit to me. Rep means shit to me.

I only care about posts for the shear fact it helps the site grow. Your aspect of it makes users more trustworthy is ridiculous do to it just shows someone is active.

I look at the quality of a persons post, rather than their post count; however I don't judge anyone upon their forum ranking.

Had to share a thought. First off, trust doesn't matter here. There is no marketplace. That is just a sad example honestly.

Yeah lol, the whole 'it makes you more trustworthy' thing is pretty dumb. I would like to say though, those that do have big post counts and have dedicated time to the site are less likely to scam or whatever. You'd like to think so anyway.

I actually care about post count, it represents how dedicated they are to the forum.

But sometimes it is the wrong move to do, because they might end up scamming you one day.

Honestly no I don't care about posts, post count doesn't show anything towards the site and member. Let me setup two examples, Jim and Jack

Jack loves to post a lot, but most of his posts aren't very HQ and replies to pretty much any thread, either trying to get into the convo or makes a one word comment. His post count is 439 and makes 40 posts a day.

Jim however, doesn't post as much, but he has posted 3 HQ tutorials and has been awarded for his skills. People come to him with what his thread posts are related to as they think he is an expert, but he can't be active because he is busy with in real life stuff and only replies to topics that he can reply to or can contribute to.

My point, post count doesn't show how dedicated you are honestly, it depends what you post.

I think it just shows how dedicated you are to the site.

Posts are a good way to determine what kind person you're dealing with.
