That actually sounds like it'd look great!
My favourite colour (yes, the "English" English version) is definitely blue. I like a lot of tints and shades, usually leaning towards teal as well. Yet, I still use SL in red and black. Seems more right to me.

I'm a huge purple fanatic, but like darker glowing purple.
Think of a dim purple neon sign at a downtown shop on a rainy day.
