I actually experienced a gain in performance after upgrading from 7 to 10 of about 3-5 FPS in most titles.

This was Microsofts game play at one point. Thats the same way they created Windows XP as well.
Windows 2000 was the XP of it's day, and Windows ME was the Vista of it's day. Microsoft took the stability of Windows 2000 and put the pretty interface of Windows ME to create Windows XP.
For anyone wondering... Windows ME was a an OS that looked really nice - but was absolute shit in terms of usability.

Huh, that's pretty interesting (my knowledge of OS's before XP is null - pretty sure the first one I remember in our house was either XP or 2000, and I was just a toddler at the time).
It's a shame that Microsoft is kinda just pumping them out now, and throwing stuff out of the window in order to gather more information on people.
Sure, information is power today, but what a way to make people hate you.

Imagine if Microsoft released new Windows XP 2016 which is as stable as it was back in a day but with modern software as it is these days and the latest trend design.

Honestly, I think they'd make a lot of money off that shit. At least I'd buy it along with any Windows user with any knowledge of how bad the newer ones are. What you described kinda sounds like Windows 10 with a stable backend that doesn't spy on you, lol

I agree, I installed Windows 7 Ultimate on my pc and it didn't run games smooth, so I installed Windows 10 again and there was a slight improvement in FPS and loading speeds as well.
