In Brazil, there are girls that will do 'it' for a bit of cash - they're trying to fund their butt implants seriously.

I don't know if they are spending it on butt implants, but there is a lot of prostitution in Brazil. Their prices are probably lower than the US'.

Spoiler:

Beauty standards I guess?

In regards to the OP, from a business perspective, market was flooded, costs came down as a result. Nothing weird really. But that low is...wow.

Personally, I cannot fathom how the economy got to that point. Surely, after "early" Indications of economic failure, the government could've formulated strategies to prevent It's downfall. I realize It's easier said than done, but I'm a firm believer that preventative measures can always be Implemented (to some degree) In any situation.

Some govs like to do short term quick fixes than long terms fixes that actually solve a problem. Short term fixes normally keep people happy because it looks as though you're working on the issue but in actual fact, it's made it worse. Almost like getting a loan, great way to pay for something now but the bill is even higher later. Perhaps this is what happened? xD

That's a very good analogy.

In terms of loans (which may well be what happened with Greece- some sort of lending criteria, hoping to have It sorted before It got out of hand), a lot of people don't look at the long-term effects. What happens If they lose their job and can't find another one due to Ill-health? The banks couldn't care less, they want their money, not their sympathy.
