I don't really use any linux distro for everyday use but I do use Kali just for tinkering and I really enjoy it. Kali 2.0 is fucking gorgeous and it is very stable and easy to setup.

Debian. I run it on my laptop, and I love it. Aptitude is one of the bast package managers Ive used.

Gentoo. Hardened + pure64.
Or Arch running grsec, and some other hardening implementations.
I have an Arch shell box setup in my garage with a load of hardening, as a personal project of course. Wrote some nice custom stuff for it, was fun.
Daily, moral, use would have to be Debian of course.

I used Ubuntu before but when it came to servers, hosting, etc I used Cent OS.

To be honest, I Installed BackTrack a few years ago and even though It's discontinued, I stuck with It.
I haven't fired my BT box In ages. I may just hit Kali Linux- just to see the comparison.
