Free roaming RPGs are my favorite. There is nothing like doing a main quest to be swept away on side quests countless hours. It also give me more of a sense of accomplishment when I do beat the game knowing I don't have any extra adventures to go on and the game is really finished. It makes me kind of sad as well but hey you can always make a new character!

I personally prefer FPS and Horror games. Best if those were combined together.

My personal favorite is Horror/Thriller games. Not talking about Silent Hill. But stuff like Bioshock and Halflife and The New Tomb Raider. I know those dont really classify as horror but they still can be classified as scary or suspenseful.
