Normally I don't share what I got because people freak out and say I should donate some of my gifts to charity or something, but I figured most people would be chill. There's always that one guy, and apparently dopamine wants to be him.

In my opinion, childs need to learn to make money. A monitor is something I would gift my kid for birthday. As this is your christmas present, what will your family gift you for birthday? A car? A motorcrycle? Oh maybe a mother fucking house..

I personally got for christmas some candy with alcohol and a really decent meal. I would actually feel really pathetic if my parents gifted me big presents at age of 18 because I've been making money since age of 14.

You may possibly be confusing me with the kids that get a Gray iPhone 6+ instead of a Gold one and freak the fuck out. I could get an apple for Christmas and I'd still be thankful of my family for that apple, but I'm not going to refuse gifts from family that they went out and bought for me just because people will call me a spoiled brat over it. I'll take the gifts, be thankful for them and buy the rest of my family presents. Just for example, my Dad is getting a brand new work jacket to take to Alberta to keep him warm, and my Mom is getting a Roku so she can watch all her shows and shit in her bedroom, and that's just my parents. And for my birthday I'll get like 150$? Christmas is the biggest celebration for my family and we usually get shit all for any other celebrations but I'm grateful for what I have and what I get.

People have different traditions. A job for a teenager isn't the easiest thing in the world to get. Applied to 6 different places no turn out.

IMO, children need to take education seriously. It's the parents job to earn money inorder to provide for the family. It's not bad to reward children some cool stuff if the parents have some extra money.

So please stop with this arguing, it's Christmas! Smile

Tarew may have just done some great stuff for him to get some cool things.

Didn't know. I was raised to believe that christmas is not a big deal so I was heavily surprised that you got gifts worth a couple thousand. I guess you really believe that christian god crap.

As I expected I didn't get shit this year. My parents pulled the "practical presents" card for the third year in a row. I got underwear, a jacket and some pajamas. Fucking thrilled, had to choke out a forced smile every time I got a shitty present. I actually got my parents some useful stuff that they fucking asked me to get for them. Fuck them all. They aren't getting shit from me next year.
