I love Dexter, and I also love The Walking Dead, but I have no idea why anyone would compare the two shows! They are nothing alike, except for the fact that they are both quite morbid at times and involve the darker side of humans. Perhaps that is what those who recommended it to you meant.

I agree. The Walking Dead is one of my favorite TV shows so far. The choices Rick has to make is so tense, and each death really is unexpected. The show is well thought out and has a great storyline.

I have come to like The Walking Dead a great deal. The funny thing is that I really didn't get into the program when it first premiered, but I manage to catch a great deal of its premiere marathon last October and I got hooked on the show. I found myself watching most if not all of the third season. I know now though that its not a good idea to get too invested in any of the characters, because at any time they could be the next victim. At this point I think just about anyone is expendable including Rick and he's the main character.

I also love the comics and the games. The thing I like most about the show is the characters

Dreek Lass, I definitely agree that the show is slow at times. My friend Kathy got me into it, and she loves it. She is addicted, she watches everyday and owns all the comics. I like it, however I found the last few episodes of season 3 pretty boring, except the last one.
But the couple episodes before that were very slow and I found myself getting bored watching it, especially the meeting between the Governor and Rick. I even skipped the last two and had to watch them on demand later. I watch other shows, like NCIS, White Collar and Elementary, and I enjoy all of them. I have never watched Dexter before ever, I may give it a try.

I love The Walking Dead so much, I bought the game and comics! It's such an awesome series and concept!
