I went on a school trip to the UAE a few years back. The thing with countries like that is, is that a lot of families are very, very rich due to the oil business that they are literally throwing out money like nobody's business. Making bank in countries like that is so much easier compared to countires where the struggle is "real". The best example for me was that we were all picked up in range rovers and fed piles of food, literally piles of food per person that would feed families for at least a week. These people have no concept of money other than spending it for their own personal joy. They're not necessarily bad people, but they just have so much money they don't know what they should do with it. At least that's how I felt about the sheikhs (If that is how you spell it) that I have met during that trip, which were very, very very very rich people. They were metaphorically throwing out their money through the window for things they don't even need. It's mainly just showing off how rich they actually are.

This is stupidity of the highest order, I guess this what wealth does to some people. It's just good that some wealthy people just don't spend their money on stupid things and do spend their money on causes and charities.
