and @blackeagle has a point, just because there's not as many girls on forums and other visible media, doesn't mean there are not decent female hackers out there that keep their identitys hidden.

There are girl hackers, but not as much as boys maybe because girl's aren't that much alone as boys.
Most great hackers were alone then found hacking and they loved it. I find although boys are social
in their going out it doesn't have that much emotion while when girls go out they go shopping and I
don't know other girly activities they have much more emotion so when they go home their day doesn't
miss many things while I as a boy I feel something is still missing.

My answer: because Pen-testing sounds/feels sexual (from penetration), and we men in general have high ego when it comes to ... sex (the only true reason for everything made by men)

Well the thing depends on the biology my friend.
Most of men don't care about the things women care for.
I mean not all men care about how they look and fashion things, emotions ...etc
Men usually and this is something I observed almost all men till an age feel empty. They feel like they miss something they do crazy shits and they want more. That is what we are, we never get enough, some men have GF and they cheat even though their current GF is awesome but emotionally he feels empty because he got her. That is why some people tell their girls don't always do what boys say. Anyways due to this feeling of empty men since they are integrated with Technology from their childhood they tend to see technology as their exit as their comfort zone.
While women when they feel empty it's usually because of "Love" that's why they read Romance books a lot and have
going outs, shopping these things distract them from the pain of not been loved.
I'm not expert in women but I believe the fact that parents buy video games for boys and give dolls such as barbie
to their daughters make this phenomena happening. I mean if a girl is integrated with technology from childhood when
she grows up she would love to continue in that path.
There is one thing which you should never/ever tell to a man and a woman.
For men if you call us losers, we will feel like shit even if you said this like a joke.
For women if you call them ugly, it hurts more than a slap to their face.
So although there are less female hackers than boys and by a large amount there are fewer girls in communities
of hacking and technological related subjects. But the main thing is there are female hackers there are many
reasons which might make them not show themselves, first and far most important reason is boys such as you
and me will not believe she exists so we make her a big deal and don't let her live her daily life. We spam
her PM a couple of times we put some stress on her so she leaves or not show her self at all.
I have a (Girl)friend who is a gamer many of her friends(Boys) are none stop messaging her on FB saying I would
love to play with you and some other similar activities. Now she says to me "just because I'm good at fifa every
one is fucking my head..." and it has been three months now since she left fifa and started Call of Duty. So we
are the reason that don't allow female hackers/crackers/gamers/anime lovers ...etc to emerge from us.
