As everyone else on this thread has said, as long as the person (regardless if they're a Man or a Woman) can get the job done with quality then it's all good.
If fact, I'd like more Girls to take ICT. This way, me and a ton of other ladies will have a lot more in common

Well, cosider the fact that you applied for a job in London. London is one of the leading Metropolitan cities of Europe and thus, there's a TON of competiton over there for all kinds of jobs.
Did they actually tell you that they didn't select you because of your gender? If not then maybe you might have understood that situation in the wrong way.

I think that the jobs should go to whoever would fit the role best. Knowledge, wisdom, determination and sheer learning ability does not have a specific face, race, gender, etc. If you have the skills, you should be able to get the job. In my position I work with different IT individuals from small scale mom and pop shops to large corporate companies and I have seen many women IT professionals that put the male counterparts to complete shame.

Thats why I said that they told me that they are searching for a man. But in their advert was nothing written about it.
They didnt say exactly : We dont want you because of your gender.
But I think it was because they think that I was too young for it.
So hopefully I will stay in my field for a very long time and when I apply for jobs next time, I will be more convenient for them

Thumbs up for you as you are doing something that nowadays is still very uncommon. As long as you can get the job done, male or female makes no difference at all.

I work in an I.T Company and we have lot of females equally or more talented than men not to mention beautiful! If someone is rejecting you because of the gender it could be because they probably have night shifts and they don't wanna risk the safety of women. Or maybe the current male employees get distracted seeing female co workers. My previous company I was applying at had such shifts and they did not allow women for the very reason "safety".
Either way join a company that accepts you for your talent/skills and not your gender. Oh and there have been companies that only wanted female employees, so I think it really depends.
