I definitely agree, same should be done with Windows, Google, Facebook and all other popular services/products. They're all gathering information about their users for "better user experience".
Be banned OR don't collect information OR explicitly say you're collecting information.
Apple has made it public that they store logs of your GEO location co ordinates every 5 minutes on your Iphone. They claim that this will help law inforcememnt in catching criminals so that they can present their location data in court.
Not only that, but 2-3 years ago I remember a hacking group had broken into an official FBI laptop which contained a 32 GB file full of Apple customer data, I'm not sure if that data had anything to do with Iphone users, but this only proves that Apple sells their customer data to the feds.
Facebook and Google have also made it public that they sell user data to advertising firms. Edward Snowden's leaks also proved that Google, Facebook, Apple, Microsoft along with many other companies provide their user data to the NSA and FBI, even for free at times.
As @chmod said, everyone knows about what's happening but no one seems to care. Iphones are a symbol of luxuary and in today's status obsessed society having a social network account has become mandetory, because of the over whelming peer pressure from society, people can't seem to imagine life without these things that will, in the near future, lead to their own disadvantage.

Facebook and Google made it public that they sell user data, that is a fact. You can find that information in 'Terms of Usage', but my personal opinion is that they need to make statement about selling data more prominent.

Well the general non-tech people don't really care about privacy, because they don't know what other people
can do with it. We have many examples on that , Facebook as an example everyone know it has all your info
if someone hacks your Facebook then they will have one of the most powerful weapons of all time against you.
In Facebook's privacy policy they clearly say we are spying on you, and you guys saw past months what happened,
how the site manages your personal information was shown to the public, they get your address ,phone number
they get your friends also, they build a profile on you and your frequently visited pages, groups, your talks
...etc and I'm not really sure about this ,but I think they sell those information to people who want to buy.
Maybe even government such as Bashar al Asads regime, these dictatorship government then can kill, torture ..etc
those people based on information they got from Facebook and similar social media websites.
Anyways back to topic information gathering is the most powerful weapon of all time, each "civilized , peaceful"
claim they are peaceful and some other myths because general public are too shallow and they believe them,
while at same time those countries spy on their people.
And even if the spying of governments are known people will feel stupid, but they can't really do anything
because they blindly agreed to some terms and policy they even didn't read.
By the way, when it comes to Illuminati and other groups like that, well I believe although they might be/are
powerful ,but we make them sound even more powerful when they might not be

There's a ton of really good chinese phones out there but people still like to buy the fake Galaxy S line or the iPhones.
If you ever want to buy a cheap phone from China please do your research, A good cheap phone is the Jiayu G4 or G5 which costs around 200 dollars which gaves you amazing specs.
