When I'm alone, I typically think about things like this.
Believe it or not, this is a norm for me! Biggrin

Imagine if you are a different person everytime you wake up, but you just can't remember the person you were the day before, so you assume that you'd always been like this.

I also thought and research about these stuff in past a lot. And these are the inferences I've made;

Nothing is real.
You asked how can you know if all of these stuff aren't just painted in your brain? Well, it is actually painted in your brain. All of your consciousness created by your brain.
Colours for example. They're just an interpretation of wavelength of the light by your brain.
Sound as the same way. All of your sensation is just an interpretation of stimulus and they only exist in your brain (colors, sounds, smells all of it).
So, the world in your consciousness is created by your brain and its not real.
But where does these stimulus come from? Well, you can't be sure about that. If you watched the movie "Matrix", you know stimulus can be imitated with electrodes connected to central nervous system (No, it's not a joke). So you can't know if a stimulus came from a legitimate existing object.

Well, you can make a "bug test" to see if you're in coma or in a dream. I don't really know how to explain this but let me try Biggrin
For example, have you ever dreamed that you're falling from a tall building and just suddenly woke up when you're about to crash? Well, your dream ends just before you crash because you haven't really fall from a tall building before so your brain don't actually know how to feel when you get crashed.
Since your brain is creating the story when you're dreaming, it needs a base information (visual, auditory, sensual information and so on) to build a story on. When you don't have the base information about the event, your dream just ends there or start bugging.
By bugging I literally mean bugging. I haven't punched anyone in my life before so everytime I fight someone in my dream and I'm about to punch the hell out of that bastard, my arm just get stuck in the air and I can't move it forward or backward Tongue
So you can try punching someone to see if you're in coma if you haven't punched someone before Tongue (but definitely don't try to jump from a building lol)
Anyway, what was I'm saying? Oh, life.
It ain't have a meaning my friend. You live and die because your atoms trying to be lower energized and erratic at the same time.

Conclusion: Life is a bitch.

I think that life is truly what we decide to do with it. It's an opportunity to make things the way you want them. It really is what gives us the ability to define ourselves.

@RootTheSystem I love your post but Ill ask a few things Smile
Then were did your brain come from ?! and if a human is blind deaf and cant feel things ..etc is he real or not ?! Biggrin
& Who imagined it to work that way ?! I mean the brain who imagined it to work that way since we are all
working basically in same way Wink

I'm guessing you mean my consciousness and not my somatic brain by saying "where did your brain come from?".
Well, basically consciousness is nothing more than chemical reactions in your brain, its not magic (its amazing though).
So I guess the answer is, "my consciousness come from the chemical reactions in my brain".

I can't answer your 2nd and 3rd questions because I don't really understand what you mean Tongue

RE: What is life? - Netero_mybb_import16981 - 05-29-2014

I'm talking about the actual brain Smile not the reactions and stuff Smile
anyways I guess I will make this a big deal Smile I said my opinion and vwala

Its a good discussion, I enjoy reading it.

How do I know any of you are real?
How do any of you know if I'm real?
How do you know if I, and everything around you, are not just figments of your imagination?
Perhaps you're really in a coma right now, or even lost in a blank space doomed to an eternity of living in your imagination?

I'm not just saying this to mind-fuck you either. I seriously do wonder if any of you are even real and I'm the only real person in this world. I wonder if I actually have created you all, the food you eat, and the houses you live in with just my imagination. What if at one point, I may have just decided what the necessities of life are. Because of that I created languages, food, people, animals, civilization, and all of that myself. How do I know I'm not just painting you all in my mind, and once I can't see or hear you anymore you just suddenly disappear until I paint you back in again?

We don't really have any way of knowing what is real and what is not real since there's always something behind everything that will always go unanswered. And if we/I/anyone finds that answer, well, what's behind that? And what's behind that? And after that? It's just like "God", how do we know what created him, her, or it? And what created the thing that created God?

It's endless and painful for me to know that we can't actually know any of this.

I think about this every so often, too. My usual conclusion:
