Events like this are inevitable seeing that this is how society works now that the Internet is apart of it. Though, you are right. I believe that parents should start teaching youth about responsibility on the Interwebz. :Innocent: RE: Why teenagers should try staying secure online - Spirit - 04-27-2014 (04-26-2014, 11:38 PM)Nailo Wrote: She suffer the consequences of her actions(show off her boobies on a webcam) but decided to kill her-self instead of owning up to it, if there is one thing that we should teach teenagers is that responsible usage of the interwebs overwrites the necessity of anonymity. But thats why they say, Think before you do, Cause there you go, Consequences hit you, And this happen. You don't know who is out there and what they are capable of, You want to be respected, Respect yourself first. Flashing was not necessary, She could have said piss off, or even just turn off the laptop, But she went with it. I'm sorry, but she is at fault. It just shows that before you do something just think really hard on what's going to happen in the long run. Otherwise, Be careful and take care. Someone asks you to flash, Take down their IP, and enjoy trolling them. And if you don't know how, Welcome to HackCommunity

RE: Why teenagers should try staying secure online - Idyll - 04-27-2014 Information security is one of the many things that schools don't teach you which is a shame. As you said @Maxx: Quote:If she had hidden her online life a bit better, NONE OF THE STUFF THAT HAPPENED TO HER WOULD HAVE EVER HAPPENED..... So, if you're going to do it then be safe and PROTECT yourself.I agree but I believe that teenagers don't get enough knowledge or guidance by others to stay safe on the internet especially when they are not taught this at school; which is a problem in today's society. Alright lets be honest, Even though they would be taught you think they would pay attention, or even care? Most of them would have the idea of "O ye like a pedo gunna come to my door". Thats why I think if teachers can't, The parent have to step in, and keep supervision on youngsters while on the web. At the end of the day, It's seriously common sense

RE: Why teenagers should try staying secure online - Idyll - 04-27-2014 Hmm true, well in that case then it is safe to say that they are at fault. But atleast they could get some extra knowledge in this area. But having parent's keeping supervision on their young ones while on the web I think is pretty evasive of privacy but I know some people whose parents make them put a fake name and information on their facebook profiles and stuff which is not a bad idea. RE: Why teenagers should try staying secure online - Anacreon - 04-27-2014 there are many teenagers that doesn't know about internet security, they just posting their pictures, posting their address, posting all about them without knowing about problem that that caused by they act. so.. I think, we, as a hacker, need to teach them about internet security, about privacy, and about self-protecting in internet. :Thumbs-Up: |
