I used to watch it a lot as a kid. Then I stopped cause I had video games. Then "Anarchist" for me into watching again, recently.

Holy balls, OP. That story is amazing, and kicks the crap out of mine.
Much like Oni I suppose my anime experience began without me really knowing it. When I was young I would come home every day from school and wait until 4:30, at which time Yu-Gi-Oh! played. That and Pokemon were my two favorite television shows as a kid, but I never actively sought out anime until I was fifteen. My older cousin was living at my house and decided to bring with her Death Note (the live action movie). I watched it and was captivated. The level of storytelling was beyond anything I'd yet experienced in a visual format. After it ended I felt obligated to watch the original anime. I was not disappointed. From there it was anime anime anime. I spent an entire summer watching and reading through everything Netflix and my local library had to offer. Anime was like a drug, and I had to get my fix.
Nowadays I'm a seasoned otaku, an anime connoisseur, and a friend to weeaboos everywhere.

Ooh, that's cool. I never bothered with live-actions really. I saw part of the Rurouni Kenshin live-action on an airplane, but never finished it.

It was pretty good. I already watched the entire anime and was at least 2/3 through the movie, so I never did download and finish it.

I was about 6 years old when I watched my first anime... Which was Naruto.
I really liked everything about it, so I wondered what the name of the genre was.
So, I searched "Big eye and spiky hair cartoon" on google.
On yahoo answers, a guy said "Anime".
So I got all excited and typed "Anime Online" on google.
And that's how my journey started.
Pretty lame story, I know. But, yeah.
