Linux is an open source op.sistem-that's why is more good then windows.Becouse exist many community programmers that work to fix,to update alwais and alwais-and all his work is for pleasure.But Chmod you forgot a thing- the people thinks that linux is more difficil to undesrtend only becouse most download ,most update you do whith the terminal.Only how manage well the bash command learn to aim linux. The others return to the comodity of windows- nothing to ask and you only think that you are a full administrator of your own and your pc. The majority has grown whith a windows and if you tell him that linux could me more easy,more customizable and more safety they think that you are nuts. What is "better"?
Most of security isn't OS related, it depends more on your configuration. Any idiot can make a linux environment vulnerable, better yet windows is easier not to make security flaws in your system. Of course if you're an experienced linux user you can make more out of the system than the windows user. But again it depends on the user, computers don't make mistakes people do.
Why do you think btw that windows is installed on FAT32, Windows makes use of NTFS since win2k.
Also name one program that can beat photoshop or dreamweaver?
I personally love windows and will never stop using it.

1-Many Linux distributions offer out of the box functionality that requires zero configuration Unless one chooses to customize it.

2-Many Linux distributions are sufficient unto themselves not to require reading the manual, which means it is completely user friendly and even Window's like in the implementation of the varying Desktop Environments to make such a transition as easy as possible. Read "intuitive".

3-Many Linux distributions already come installable as an entirely working operating system superior to anything Window's will ever be able to lay claim to (except Window's 7, that's a great operating system).
Screw you CrApple and Legos.
4-M[ostly]S[hitty] is on an a downward spiral market wise because of the Corporate Assclowns who decided to insult their customer base by labeling Window's 8 an operating system.
As if their Corporate Legalese load of shit would fool even the Carnival Barkers for long<evil cackle>.:lol:

5-I'm not new to this kind of discussion. I was one among several, years ago who were at the top of the food chain during the flamewars betwixt Linux & Window's users in those days when Microsoft was well known for using nefarious marketing schemes in the hopes of silencing the Linux fanboys, etceteral.
6-Now that I am done shoveling my load of crap via personal viewpoint upon You the Reader: What really matter with any given operating system is the one that serves You the best.
That is All that matters.
That is why there are so many choices. Be it Windows, Linux, or Apple.:thumbs:

It's the default file system since Win XP.
You shouldn't compare nowadays Linux with Win 98/2000 or lower.
