But what do you miss if you have, i.e.: syntax highlighting, code navigation, autoclosing brackets, ... - vim compiling - gcc build instructions - make debugging - gdb An IDE does the same. Don't know why people say it's bad Code::Blocks isn't bad, I use it on Windows for C. C++ I just end up using VS because it's by far the best IDE i've ever used hands down. Any language that I can write using that IDE, I'll use it. Just because it's most commonly known for .NET languages does not mean it's a junk IDE. |
