That is true, I've got the same feeling. But maybe it is enough that some people care. Here are a lot of users who just want to download some tools or sell something and that's it. I think those are the ones you can ignore. There are just so many of them, because HC is easily found via Google.

Open Source if fine for some things, but like with anything, forcing it on everything is not good. The question here is though - is the source necessary for learning? Or was the tool even intended for learning or just using? It's okay to ask politely, but not okay to force someone to release the source if he doesn't want to.
It is ok, that people don't share all of their codes. There can always be valid reasons. I am just a bit astonished, that there are so many here, who say in their intro that they want to be a hacker, yet don't agree with the mindset that comes with that: A great motivation to learn and solve problems, sharing knowledge and seeing complicated stuff as a challenge and not as a burden. You have this mindset, but it is an exceptional case.
People say they want to learn from the others, but are not willing to teach stuff or show code without getting money for it. That just doesn't fit into a place like this imho.
@LightX: From what I have seen from you, you are very willing to learn and to give something to the community without asking what you get for your work. You take critique as something positive that helps you to get better. That is the mindset I am talking about. Just keep going. It is not a shame to be a beginner in something, everyone is a noob in some field (you surpass me far by your GFX skills). It is only a shame if one wants to be spoonfed.
