you use BT mounted on vmware ? if so you need to know the type of driver used or loaded by the kernel.
BT supports wifi but have to digg a bit

I installed BT5r3 via USB pen, I used a program to make the pen bootable and installed it from there, I have never connected to the internet on BT therefore I couldn't have updated anything and since I can't connect via wireless... I have very few places where I can connect via cable.
