Having been shot by rubber bullets, unless you take a direct hit to your temple, it won't knock you out. It hurts like a bitch, and severely pisses you off, but there's a reason you don't see military units shooting people with rubber bullets. Dead people are much less likely to keep shooting than someone you just majorly bruised.

I barely trust some of my teachers with sharp pencils. Not to mention the psycho rejects knowing there's guns laying around and the beta teachers revealing the access to them to students, whether indirectly or not.

Thats why i said "heavy, automatic" guns... So no matter how bad the teachers aim is, he/she can spray until he hits the shooter.

You're making up situations that never will happen. Although it is good to plan for that, it won't happen. You're over thinking it. And since you despise me, you're trying everything you can to make my idea seem like the wrong way to go.
Come up with a situation that would actually happen next time

Yes because every single time a shooter goes into a school they go towards the office first thing and shoot every single person in there without a chance of survival.
Your hypothetical situation isn't reality. That's like overlooking anything with thousands of "what if" questions.
