Anonymous is a collective. That means most of em' will "hack" a site by getting together and firing up LOIC (Or, god forbid, HOIC)
It's a joke, pay no attention.

So they hacked and defaced doj.gov by firing up LOIC?

Most of them are skids, but don't judge all of'em like that.

Fair enough, but even a defacement dosn't mean they did any real damage. Just because it's related:

Besides, all the fun stuff is done by splinter groups like lulzsec (I fucking love those guys)

You know that pic was directed at DoS attacks right?

And Lulzsec is shit, don't even...

If you've heard of their hacking exploits, they're a terrible hacking group.

Okay. I am liking what I see. But, as for the people saying Anonymous has no skill and what no, you're wrong. Anonymous has skill, and they also have the skill to lead. Which even if they weren't good they could get other people to be good for them. I respect them. Even though they are not the best they are good.

RE: Thoughts on Anonymous - JackDaniels - 02-09-2013

Anonymous has good "members" if you could call it that. Anonymous is an ideal for how the world would be perfect in their eyes. It's also an umbrella witch some good hackers that believes in the Anonymous ideal hide behind, I can respect people that hides behind the Anonymous umbrella for the good cause and so on. What I hate though is skids how has an anonymous mask on there facebook profile picture just because they compare it to some Robin hood thing.

Overall I think Anonymous does some good work for example on finding out the guy who did all those horrible things towards Amanda Todd. Also tracking down and locating pedophiles. Other then that what goes for the people claiming to be a member just for the reputation goes against the whole idea of Anonymous.

LOIC is just as worse as HOIC.

RE: Thoughts on Anonymous - w00t - 02-09-2013

HOIC is worse, you don't even attack the target, you attack the Tor network, denying dissidents and freedom fighters access they need.
