Well, it's kinda happening. The Age of Aincrad Project is currently attempting to recreate the original mmo world of SAO and I think they're designing it to eventually have oculus rift compatibility.

That... is pretty darn cool. You ought to make a new thread for that, I'd be interested in talking about that in more detail.

We've got quite a lot of people interested in SAO, and it'd cross over into virtual gaming and gaming in general - I think it'd warrant a lot of discussion!
