I think this is completely possible, like Losi said that it wouldn't be hard to have someone die for him, but even if he did survive, he would be dead or very fragile and old now.
That is unless the nazi's didn't create a immortality potion.

This is a very interesting theory, and could probably be executed successfully. How would he have gotten to Argentina? A submarine?
There were some other Nazi officers that disappeared too, most notably Heinrich Müller, the Chief of Gestapo (Nazi Germany's political state police, somewhat like a secret service / the russian KGB of the day)
Though, I don't see how the remains not being examined by the US makes it any less reliable.

Well, I don't exactly trust the assistant's statement about the jawbone.

Right, but there was another professional (and not an assistant) that claimed the skull fragment was a woman's.

I assume that means that the skull was a woman's.
True, but then again, if the soviets knew that, they could have kept it secret because of the circumstances.
Or, come to think of it now, they may not have even had the professionals, Stalin executed most well educated people during the rise of his reign.
