This is a great idea, I'm not sure if you could check, but just limiting it to the 650x200 (default) overall will keep signatures the right size, and allow people more customization.

I wouldn't want a pixel limit. If we were to do that we wouldn't be able to use HD images.

You could scale them down, but the product might be crappy, depending on the picture

The limit is there for a reason, primarily because I don't feel like having to scroll through an extra thousand or so pixels of random images.
