Howl's Moving Castle was amazing, im sure thats Anime. I also watched a bunch of others by Hayao Miyazaki!

If you're into anime films, some I would recommend would be The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, 5 centimeters per second, and Summer Wars.

It's been a while since I've played any VN, the last being Fate/Stay night, so I'll check it out.
