RE: Liquid Depression or Cancer Sticks ? - w00t - 01-29-2013 I'd love to hear how a receptor antagonist selectively kills cancer cells and no other cells when no material has been found to do that. Well, it wouldn't be the first time I heard a pothead make that argument... Don't get me wrong though, I think it's perfectly fine to smoke it in general. I just think it's pathetic all these potheads say it's the miracle cure for cancer or try to explain how it's beneficial to your body. Its proved that some substances in marijuana may cure many diseases, but there's a small catch to that statement. By smoking marijuana you do not absorb enough of these substances to even make a change, so there are studies around marijuana, but they don't involve you getting high to cure your cancer or whatever. I'm now 20, smoked marijuana for five years. I've been sober for two now. I used to tell myself it was so good for you etc, etc. Smoke. In your lungs. Is. Not. Good. I don't care what kind of smoke. It is SMOKE. It alters your personality. You may have more endeavors, or lower inhibitions, either way, it means you aren't happy with how you really are. Even if you "just like to get high", in the back of your mind you are compensating. I have nothing against pot. Just my perspective, from my experiences. You're extrapolating, which isn't the way the world works. Tamiflu kills some forms of viral infection, that doesn't mean that it will kill cancer. Pay attention, that's not what I said. Don't kid yourself, marijuana doesn't cure cancer, and you don't smoke it because you have cancer. There is no cure for cancer yet and if marijuana was the cure, don't you think they would provide more cancer patients with it? First of all, that's both an idiotic and racist comment. How'd you like it if I started running around saying "My bike got stole, it must've been a nigger"? It wasn't white people in general. I know a few white people who got trapped in the crack addiction and lost their minds to it. It was chemically manufactured by the government. Marijuana isn't the "CURE" to cancer, nothing is yet. But, there has been several occurrences/studies to prove that Marijuana is far more effective than any chemotherapy. RE: Liquid Depression or Cancer Sticks ? - w00t - 01-29-2013 Crack was developed by government, it was tested as a stimulant for soldiers. Some researcher/3rd party then noted the euphoric effects, and thus began the cycle. It wasn't made to be malicious, the human condition converted it into a street drug. As for marijuana somehow differentiating between cancerous cells and normal cells to trigger programmed cell death, what chemical exactly do you think does that? THC doesn't, for sure. |
