I have kept myself from drinking anything stronger than wine unless it's a party. But then again, as you might have guessed from me being on this site, I don't get invited to many of those
German beer is too strong for me. I tend to like light beer (and a tequila flavored beer called Desperados). Unless it's Desperados, I prefer liquor really.

Desperados sounds a bit too Texan/Spanish for me, but might just give it a try ^^I couldn't agree with you more; spirits over beer any time.

I drink a lot of unruly things, although German beer tends to turn me off a lot. Primarily because it was the first drink I ever had and I still remember hating it. I don't drink a lot of beer, either. As for Desperados, the company is owned by Frenchies. It tastes really great with lime. I don't know if you can even get it in the USA. I know I bought a lot while I was in England.

Barking Squirrel is pretty good if you can get your hands on it. Not too heavy (5% if I remember correctly) and delicious. The brewing place isn't too far from my house, actually

I was drinking a semi local microbrew that was very much a summer beer, kind of like blue moon. I have to be in the right mood for a wheat/orange/corrianer beer, and apparently last night was right, lol.
The other one I was drinking was a home brew of mine that I made over a year ago and it kinda sucked (my first semi failure) but I kept it around to see what happens w/ age.
After aging it got..... better. Still not great but tastes less like apples now ^_^.

You brew yourself? Sweet! How much would it cost would it be to send it to Canada (if you even can, not sure what kind of duties and whatnot you would have to pay)?

I usually just drink hard liquor. Beer is too light for me, my favorite drink is Vodka, then you got your other spirits. I tend to drink beer if I have no other choice. Lol.
