If you guys really like each other and you're happy about it, then go for it. You don't have to listen to what other people say about it as long as you have found the one and am happy about it. That's how my wife and I kind of met in the first place, but then again, mine is different from your situation. Mine is an arranged marriage, so I would think yours isn't that bad.

I've been in like 3 long distance relationships, if they work for someone then I'm all for them going about it.
The 3 I was in all lasted about 2 or 3 months, then again I was a lot younger.
People say they don't last long, I don't believe that entirely, I think quite a few do.
It's just about loyalty and faith, if both have that, they can work it out, but without those, I think the relationship is bound to fail.
